Experience with Berkeley DB?

Hi,

has anyone experience with Berkeley DB? I want to use it for indexing and searching my intranet. This I am now trying with (free available) Perlfect and it uses BerkeleyDB. BerkeleyDB is also downloadable (from SleepyCat software), but must be compiled and linked. I ran in problems for the makefiles etc. are for VC

Can anyone help me or do you know another solution for indexing and searching intranet?
