Expansion Module - Digital Station B 1

Hi all,

I've got an expansion module (new B type Digital 16), with a flashing green and red light. plugged into the system it does see it (e.g. it shows it in the control unit, and creates the users. however it doesn't show it in system of system status.) in control unit it shows it on version 9.0.0.0. my phone systems on version 8.1.79 with the update patch on it for expansion modules. Have I just got a faulty unit or is there anything else to try?

the phones don't power up at all from the expansion, and yes I'm using the right patch lead

You may need to down grade the DS16 to 8.1.79 as it appears to be on R9.

yea that's the problem, tried to downgrade it and it remains on R9. (using the .bin files in the critical service pack 7 patch)

Did the upgrade say it completed successfully?

Reboot the IPO and wait ten minutes and see what happens.

FFrey: yeah upgrade was successful.

tlpeter: Yea still down, connecting via rs232 port and seeing nothing in HyperTerminal, I'm assuming its dead.

Did you try an upgrade to the latest 8.1?
I wonder from which version the DSB modules are supported.

they're officially supported from R9 I believe, but a patch was released for it for 8.1 (IP Office 8.1 Service Pack 7 - Critical Patch for DS16B and DS30B Support).
