Expand the desktop

I have XP and I already have it setup so that my desktop is extended onto the 2nd. I should of read it first before I submitted it and I would of known to explain it differently. What I meant was that I wanted to know if there is a way so the display streches across the 2 screens like it were one big monitor. You usually see this is flight simulators where they have multiple monitors and different parts of the cockpit are on the appropriate monitor.
