Hi,
I need to make a report that expand/collaps when they click on + or -. Until now I have made subreports when the wanted to see more details on the totals. But this time the don't want a subreport, they want it all in the same report.
I hope the example shows a little bit of what I need to become:
+ 2009
- 2010
+ January
+ February
- March
details for march
+ April
+ May

So when they click on the + sign the want to see the details. When the click on te - sign the want to hide the details.
And if this is not possible is there a way to get a result that is similar to this without subreports.
Is there a way to accomplisch this because I have been looking for one and I don't find it.

I use Crystal report XI.

Thanks in advance....

In Crystal. Drill-Down does what you're after. Right-click on a section to make it drill-down.

I think you'll be required to click on the group field to see the details.

If I right-click on the section, I don't get the option drill-down.

Group sections have to be formatted to "hide" in the section expert ordinarily. Once you have hidden the sections, you will see they are available for drilldown in the main report. You can just click on a group field to go to the drilldown tab.

However, you can't then hide the tab (the new window). You have to move between tabs or close the tab. I didn't think this was what you were looking for.

Sorry, that should be the left-hand margin, not the section itself.
