Existence of Listener (agent) with PDI 7.1

Hello,

in the user guide of PDI 7.3 I read something about an agent (called Listener) to be installed on every computer to be scanned, but I think this agent only exists with Network Discovery. Can anyone confirm this to me?

The Listener is shared with Desktop Administration and is indeed shipped as part of Network Discovery v5.1 and later in order to schedule distribution of PDI scanners.

When used with PDI, PND can take over the role of scan schedule administrator and can also consolidate the data discovered by the PDI scanner with the data discovered by PND.
