I'm thinking os having a bash at installing and configuring Exim on my Red Hat box. My question is, do I need to install another package to handle POP3, and if so can anyone recommend anything?

Hi,
you will need a POP3 server in order to retrieve your email from mail clients.
the one i use on my box is tpop3d its super stable and is very quick and easy to install.

qpopper -->

By the way, a lot of packages are named *IMAP, but most of them include both IMAP and POP3 servers.
