Hello,

I have an Ultra 5 system. It has 512 MB memory. I like to test its memory prior to boot; i.e., exercise memory on OpenBoot prompt.

I have OpenBoot parameters diag-switch=max and diag-switch=true defined. Is there any option available other then power-on self test? Anything available similar to SunVTS?

Have a nice day,
Warren

Warren,
Set diag-device=disk. You will not see much different during this diagnostic. The POST process will take longer. If you want to see what is going on, you will need to run a tip session from another workstation connected to ttya.
