Hi all,

New to this newsgroup, hope I can receive some help. I'm investigating several thousand dollars of longdistance calls made from an Executone Medley system in the early hours when no one is at the office.

Is there a way to find out if the system allows incoming calls from accessing an outside line and making LD calls.

Can the Executone Medley system be programmed to access an outside line when calling in.

Any help would be much appreciated.

First of all make sure that some one inside your office isn't doing it (cleaning crew, security personal, ext.) If you have voice mail they may be getting in that way so change and set all passwords and be creative. Call your tech and have them put calling codes on your phones. This is getting to be a problem on all systems as these crooks figure it out, so if you have passwords use them.
Contact your tech and let them know what's going on so they can come in and look for any gateways and lock them down, it may cost you a service and programming fee but it will be far less then the calls you are paying for.

Good Luck

1.)They could have mailbox set yup for pager notification.
2.) They could have setup Auto Attendent for a goto branch. There is a goto branch to outside number when used in conjunction of centrex lines from Telco.
3.) I would hookup printer/Laptop to serial port on ksu and run reports.
Function 71 is for system database.
Function 72 is lines/ Auto Attendent Report.
Function 73 is extensions/ Departments report.
Function 74 is Voicemail Report.

Good Luck!!

We have an Executone Medley system with a hard drive that is about to die. Is there any way to backup this drive?

tnx
