Executone IDS 42 KSU password 1

I have an Executone IDS 42 KSU that I am trying to set up. I'm using Procomm Plus connecting directly to my com port.
TVI950 9600 8-n-1
I get the "ENTER PASSWORD >" prompt, but I can't get in.
I was told the default password was "level8" but that did nothing. Nothing I type shows up, not even hitting Enter. Esc key will bring up a new password prompt.
I tried the reset button under the cover, still ask for a password to enter program mode.
Any ideas on how to get in?

you can open cabinet and pull battery strap to default programming. You can also try the other default passwords level1 through level7.

I got in at level6. I can't find a battery inside, could it be powered by a Capacitor? I found a reset button, that didn't help and there are 4 dip switches. I would like full access if possible. There are some things in the menus it tells me access denied.

The battery looks like a capacitor. The older systems you could not remove the strap to deactivate.

What software level is it running?
Does it have any downloads added? (ca1, vms, etc.)

The dip switches are for the different types of RAM/software eproms in system.
