Hello,
I have an executone system that was designed for hospitals installed in our elevators. When the button on the elevator is depressed the light comes on in the security console, but when selected no voice comes out on either end. We have a high-rise, a mid-rise, a low-rise, and a service elevator and none work. They do not have a contract with anyone who can service this system. I have been asked to check it out before a new system is installed. I believe there is a simple problem, that is hard to locate.
The model # on the phones are 111 AHD GRG 7817 61637. The relay modules in the control panels model # A-41022. I would like to see a one line drawing of how this system might be put together, but I don't know where to look.
Oh yeah, the phones in the elev. mach. rooms act the same way.
Thanks,

Do you get side tone in the phones? In other words, if you blow into the transmitter can you hear it in your ear? If not the sets are not getting "talk battery" and that is the source of the problem.

If not, take a look for a 24 volt or 48 volt DC power supply as part of the system and see if it is putting out the rated voltage (heck, might as well check all the power supply voltages while you are at it).

Good luck.
