Hi, we've got a customer that is a "Hedge Fund" in central london and they've recently been upgraded from a Meridian Modular to a Mitel MX 3300 controller. They were used to being able to intrude on any user simply by pressing the DSS/BLF key on their handset and would like this feature to appear on the Mitel as well. At the moment we have intrusion set up but you have to press the DSS/BLF key, then dial 2 to intrude. Is there a way of eliminating pressing 2 and intruding straight away?
Any suggestions would be welcome.
Cheers, steve.

Not 100% sure but I am confident the answer is no. Override (Barge in) on the Mitel requires 2 events. First the caller must encounter busy tone, then the caller must chose the feature to activate during busy tone(Camp-On, Callback, Override, Etc.) Pressing the DSS key encounters the busy tone, the digit 2 activates override.

If the only purpose of the DSS key is for this, you could instead use a speedcall to dial the extension, Pause, and dial 2. However, the DSS key is very useful for showing the user on the set, picking up calls, transfering calls that the extra step for Override is worth it to have access to the other DSS functionality.
