Executing remote commands between iseries

I'm looking into a way to run jobs on another iseries and came accross the RUNRMTCMD. I was hoping the RMTUSR *CURRENT would pass my credentials and authenticate me on the target system if my passwords were in sync but it doesn't seem to work. Is there a better way to do this?
