What I am trying to do is run a command or script on a remote server from another server.

better explanation:
windows1 needs to execute a script on linux1 (via scheduled task)

I am looking for a tool or a batch command that can execute scripts on a remote linux host. If anyone know of one, could you let me know please.

Thanks,

SSH. Putty is a Windows SSH client that you could use.

Lgarner, We did just that, We were able to use Putty for our cause.

Trojan, we were trying to executes something from windows. That would be why we didn't set up a cron task.

Thanks for the assistance

I'm not completely stupid!
(via scheduled task)
I just wondered why you needed the connectivity and why you couldn't just schedule the task on linux instead.
Maybe for example a cron task could collect any info it needed from windoze via a samba share.
I was just trying to help.
