Is there really no way to execute a file on my server with ASP/Java or some other script.
I can see the security issue with this action, but I really need to run a program to convert some pictures.

Thanks,
Fredrik

you can run antoher asp page with server.execute but i dont think is what you are after - is it?

No... I was wondering if I could execute a file on my system (the server). That is a program file (of any kind) located in my webroot directory (IIS).

Thanks,
Fredrik

Fredde:

Try AspExec - a free ASP component from ServerObjects Inc:

I haven't used it myself, but it was recommended in another discussion forum...

In general, I have very good experience with the commercial components from that same company - I use ASPmail a lot, and it works great + comes with good documentation.
