Execute Domino command from dos-box or batchfile

Is it possible to ecexute a Lotus Domino command ( eg. 'tell router quit' ) from a command line or batchfile and not from the Domino console ?
We are running Domino 6.5.1 on a W2K platform.

I believe it is possible to launch Notes console commands if you preface the command with "nlnotes " (no quotes, of course).
