Execute a program on my Server from the WEBSITE

I have A domain website with programs I want to execute from the Web a demo version of the programs.

it copies the executable to my desktop and will not execute. Do you see any thing wrong with this code ??? I do not want to copy to my desktop I want it to execute the program on my Server. I merely want to execute the program.

Hi mate,

This is not possible unless your application was designed to run from the web, which from the sounds of it this program wasn't.

It appears that you want the program to run on your hosting companies server. You should check with your host to see if they will allow this, since it must run on THEIR machine. Hosting companies don't usually allow this sort of thing because they have no idea of the resources it will use, how it will affect other programs running on their systems, and if it's a "safe" program to run.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!

and you wont be able to since running .exe means its a USERS side issue; my browser is set to prompt for download of any zip, exe, mp3, wav. mov. avi, mpg because IT starts to slow down my computer if i run it from the server;

its a user end problem, nothing you can do about it.

This isn't the case. An exe can be run on the server, exe is a legal web format if it sends the correct headers to the browser, but the program must be created to run from the web before you can do this.
