executable program under the unix environment

I am quite new in this area. Please help.
I got program written by c++, and after the compilation, it can run under the dos environment. Does anyone know how to make this program work under the unix environment.

You'll need to move the source to the Unix machine and recompile it there.

If you can't, you'll need a DOS emulator that runs on your Unix platform.
