.exe flashes and diappears but have tried READ EVENTS solution

I have a main form which calls a menu. I have a program which executes the form and has a READ EVENTS immediately after. In the Menu cleanup I have a CLEAR EVENTS. When I create the .exe the form is set to main.

Don't put the CLEAR EVENTS in the menu cleanup. Add an Exit or Quit command to the menu, and put the CLEAR EVENTS there.

I know this is confusing, but the menu cleanup code gets executed as soon as the menu is launched, not when the menu exits, as you would expect.

I have removed the CLEAR EVENTS from the form and added an extra menu option as suggested. Still executes OK within VFP and still flashes in Windows environment

You say the form is set as main, you need to set the prg as main, that calls the form and has the read events.
