Can you select between "hold" and "exclusive hole" by pressing the hold button twice.

Does a set with the cls: xha put every call on exclusive hold or is it user selectible on a call by call basis?

I have a group that would like to be able to occasionally put a call on exclusive hold (line key doesn't flash on other sets) and take or make another call. Presently other answer positions pick up his "on hold" calls causing confusion.

The feature guide doesn't seem that clear in explanation. At least to me.

Here is exactly what you need (besides the answer) which follows at the end.

Te set of books called "Features and Services" has features. And for every feature, there are subsections called:

"Feature description"
"Operating parameters"
"Feature interactions"
"Feature packaging"
"Feature implementation"
"Feature operation"

Not only do you get the description, but it even tells you what loads to go into to implement everything.

I admit, you might not have found Exclusive Hold under "C" for "Call Hold, Deluxe" right away.... but at least you know it's somewhere.

Your answer is:

"Operating parameters"
Exclusive Hold has priority over Individual Hold. If a telephone is equipped with Exclusive Hold, the other telephones receive the Exclusive, not Individual, Hold Indication.
