Dear Access Gurus,
I have just "inherited" an Access database after a colleague left the company so excuse my n00bness if this is a really obvious question.
The database in question is on a shared network drive and was previously accessed by multiple users simultaneously. However now when a second person tries to open it they receive the error "you do not have exclusive access to the database at this time. If you proceed to make changes, you may not be able to save them later". After pressing OK about five times they can proceed to log in.
The database is split. The files are called MMDBV3.mdb and mmdb_tables.mdb. I have checked the options of the users in question and they are set to open in shared mode. I'm afraid that's where I've run out of ideas.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Toby
