Hello,

I have created a database for multiple groups of people to use at the same time. One group will be running the database all three shifts. A problem that I am encountering is that if somone is still logged on to the database and I want to update a form that I get this error message

"You do not have exclusive access to the database at this time. Your design changes will not be saved."

I was wondering if there is a way to let everyone stay on the database since its going to be going to different plants on the same network and still be able to do design changes to the forms?

Thank you for any help you can provide,
Chelsea

You will need to look into splitting your database into front/back ends, or better yet publishing the application through something like citrix.

Hope this helps,

Alex

Professor: But what about your superintelligence?
Gunther: When I had that there was too much pressure to use it. All I want out of life is to be a monkey of moderate intelligence who wears a suit. That's why I've decided to transfer to Business School.
Professor: NOOOOOOOOOOOO.
