hello there, i am in the process of excluding sage from nortons autoprotect, the reason for this is that nortons is slowing sage down considerably.

can someone please inform me on how i would achieve this

The version of nortons is corporate version 9, and also sage version 11

Thank You

Go to the server .. right click and go to All tasks.. symantec antivirus.. Client auto-protect options.

On the first tab you should see a button for exclusions.. just put in the file locations you want to exclude for scanning on all your machines.

Hi there, sorry for the l8 reply but im only able to get internet access at work, had a look on the server, can u please tell me where to right click, is it anywhere on the desktop or in a certain part of symantec ani virus. thanks

you need to be in the symantec system center console. Its the place where you can view your list of clients and modify their settings. This is an addon install during the setup of the server. Once you are in you need to unlock your server group using the userID and pass setup during your install..

Once you have unlocked your server group please follow the instructions given above

thanks, i will follow the instructions given, currently trying 2 fix a problem with our VPN, so i wil let you know how i got on this coming monday.

Thanks

Hi there

Have been trying to get logged in to the symantec system centre this morning, cant even access it, getting an error claming that it has not been installed properly. nothing is ever straight forward in my workplace, do u think i should try & re-install this feature of symantec.

Cheers again!
