excluding files 1

Hello,

First let me say that I am a complete noob when it comes to Legato networker. In the Windows environment, is it possible for you to exclude files by extension type from being backed up? We are looking at excluding mp3s, avi's and most media types, plus the Windows directory. We are also looking at excluding virtual machines from VMware.

For the file exclude just modify the existing "NT standard directives" as follows:

<< / >>
+skip: *.mp3 *.avi

etc.

For excluding VMware machines, just add another statement to the same directive:

<< "absolute_path_to_your VM_directory" >>
+skip: .
