exclude from query

I have a list box that is populated by a query. The items populating this are names which also have an id number associated with them. I want to use the query and exclude certain names using the id number. I have tried
Not 24 or 25 or 26
Not Like 24 or 25 or 26
This either excludes the first number or doesnt work at all. I assume this can be done but I am lost.
