Exchnge Server 5.5 is not sending mails to groups

Hello!

I craeted some global/local groups in exchange mailing list it is not sending mails to groups like all frinds etc working fine with single user. can anyone help me with this problem also exchange message transfer agent service is not working.

The problem is that the MTA is not running. It expands the groups into individual recipients. See what events concerning the MTA you have in the application log.

Check the diskspace on the disk where Exchange is installed. If it is below 10 MB, exchange will automaticaly shut down the MTA.

remedy:
-------
Clean out your disks, restart the MTA-service (check the NT services in the 'control panel') and (ask for ...) an upgrade (extra disks).

mailgroups -> make sure they have an email address, and that you are sending to the right one.

- display the properties of the mailgroup
- go to the tab E-amil adresses
- check what is in there and alter if needed.

Thanks for your reply i have more then 10 MB free sapce (700MB) when i try to start the MTA it gives error 2140.

When you check the Windows NT Server Event Viewer Application log, what error is diplayed in the log?

Thanks for help from all, i fixed this problem it was due to service pack 4 installed on my server, i install a patch from Microsoft and it is working fine now.
