I am new to Exchange and I was wondering if someone could help me out.

I have a SBS 2003 with exchange and we have GoDaddy hosting our email account. I want to use our server to host the email if possible. I have heard that if I log into GoDaddy and change the MX record to my Static IP address that it would work. The problem is that we have a domain.local setup on the server and also we have another server that uses port 443.

I was just going to try it but I'm not sure if I'm wasting my time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Create and A record for mail.domain.com pointing to your static IP and then point your MX record to that A record. Make sure you have port 25 open to your exchange server for sending mail.

ON the server run the Internet Connection Wizard and configure exchange.
