Hi there !
I've just installed Exchange 2000 Evaluation Copy (120 days) and i would like to upgrade for the real Enterprise version of Exchange 2000. I already have here the Exchange 2000 CD, but i'm afraid of losing all the mailboxes when upgrading. How can I do this without losing my mailboxes and other configurations ?
Thanks in advance

Pedro

My understanding is that you would first need to aquire a license to make your eval copy legal. As to then upgrading to Enterprise, I am not sure. I would contact Microsoft and ask them, their technical sales should be able to ask the question, if you say that it is a presales question.

As for losing the email boxes, you should be able to use the utility 'exmerge' on Exchange 2000, this will export all the contents of individual or all the mailboxes into .pst files. You can then use it to import the pst files back in.

Hope this helps

Whatever you do, run a backup of those mailboxes, or of the .edb files as well- just to be safe...
