Hi All

I have setup a test windows 2003 server SP3. I have installed the Exchange System manager Tools on this machine as I wish to admin our exchange server
from this server. The ESM tool has installed and I can see my local exchange server in Europe /mailstores /mailboxes etc but I am unable to access the mailstores on my server in the US. The mailstores display an red arrow pointing down .

When I first connect to the storage group in the US I get the error . The action could not be completed because the microsoft exchange informati0n store
service is unavailable. Be sure the service is running and you have network connectivity to the microsoft exchange computer.
I get the error
operation:Retrieving mount information
ID no : c1041721
Exchange System Manager

The mailstores then dispaly so that I can see the available mailstores but
with the red arrow indicating that they are not accessible from my test server.

The Europe exchange server and US server are both functioning correctly

Any info appreciated - I have looked at permissions/firewall issues but to
date I have had no success in getting the Exchange System Manager fully working on another server /client

Thanks in advance

Hi

This got sorted by adding the US server to the host file on the test ESM server
