Exchange storage group not showing

I have installed Exchange 2000 sp3 on a remote server from the backup server. I have installed the exchange agent on the backup server, enabled exchange support in the options of backup exec and installed the remote agent on the exchange server, all services are working. I connected using the correct system account for backup exec. I also have the exchange system manager installed on the backup server. When I view the exchange server from backup exec the storage group does not show but an incomplete list of mailboxes are shown. Very confusing, any ideas.
