I am trying to set-up smtp via TLS. The clients are outlook 2003. I have a second virtual smtp server with the certificate in place.

However although POP over SSL works fine I can not get SMTP/TLS to work. I have got it set to all the settings as per the various articles on SMTP with SSL. But it's still not working.

The Authentication falls over at the point of establishing the SSL connection and OUtlook fails with a "This server does not support SSL"

I have got it all set-up to work on port 25 as TLS (As far as I know does not require another port to work!).

Has anyone come across similar issues and what did you do to make it work.

Regards,

Muffin Man

Are you allowing the users to authenticate to the server?
we had to do this to get ccx to work. On the user in dialup setting we had to allow the user to dialin.

Hope this works, we had no idea till we turned it on!
damn MS
