Exchange service stops

Hi, I have exch 5.5 enterprise with nt4.0 sp6a. I have RAS installed but I have stopped the service cos I'm not using it. But lately, 2 exch services stopped - IMC and Store. When I checked at the even viewer, it was due to 2 errors -

1. event id 2001, source - rasctrs, description - The dexcription for event id (2001) in source (rasctrs)could not be found.It contains the following insertion strings:

2. eventid - 1008, source - perflib, description - The open procedure for service "RemoteAccess" in DLL "rasctrs.dll" failed. Performance for this data will not be available.Status code returned is DWORD 0.
