Hello everyone ! I have one Exchange server in my organisation, his internal ip 192.168.10.* and another Ex. serv. in another org. 192.168.1.* . These 2 organisations are connected to a VPN connection ! The problem is I can't find a solution so I can send the outbound email to 192.168.1.* via vpn ! I created a SMTP connector using exchange serv as smart host ( nothing!) It seems to be a DNS problem ??? I tried all posibilities ! What should I do next so my DNS server shouldn't send mail to the external name server record ??? Thank you !

P.s. : the organisations are different domains !

When you say you made "exchange serv as smart host " I assume you are talking about the server on the 192.168.1.x network?

When you created the SMTP connector, did you put a wildcard (*) in the address space?

This doesn't really sound DNS related to me. If you are certain you have a good tunnel, and you are specifying the correct bridgehead server, you should be good to go.

Yes. The smarthost from the SMTP connector is [192.168.1.*] The adress space is configured with *.xyz.com with cost 1 with connector scope : entire organisation

To me, this is clearly a connector issue. You've got something mangled.

You should have a single connector, with your * address space. It should be configured to send to the smart host at 192.168.1.* address.

Next, tracert to that IP address and see what route the packets are taking. Verify it's headed out the tunnel.
