Exchange Server Consolidation

I've spent hours today searching for information to help with my simple problem....Merged company, two domains that have a requirement to merge into a single 2K AD. One company has Exchange 2000 the other (mine) has its own W2K AD and an exchange 5.5 (sp3) server running on NT4. I've read lots today about 5.5 to E2K migration (which I'll like\have to do) but not a lot about how to get the E2k servers to be part of the same AD once I do the upgrade. The "joining" company is only nummbering at around 50 staff. I would like to use the existing kit (ie not have to scratch build a new E2K box and import mailboxes)

Does anyone know of any good links, FAQ, books (or even the answer)
