Hi, I have been asked to advise on what are the potential problems of having multiple connectors on exchange servers.
Having tried to acquire the manual this morning but being sold out I am turning to anybody who can advise or point me in the right direction.

what do you mean by 'multiple connectors????' site, X400...IMS....??? i'm not to sure of the question...could you explain....i'm not sure what problems you could mean...apart from highlighting the difference between the connector types....

If I understand your question as having more than one IMC (IMS) enabled for one site, I was told by Exchange Tech support at Microsoft that it wasn't a good idea. It will work for outgoing mail, but you MX record at your ISP will send all incoming mail to one IP address.
Dan
Here is a tidbit. If you have multiple IMS's installed, when an NDR is generated for delivery via SMTP, it goes out the opposite way it came in. This is a new "feature" that was added to EX5.5SP3.
