We are swapping from IMAP to POP3 due to the fact that we need to remove all stored emails from our exchange server. The changing of these accounts has been straightforward apart from one mailbox! The account was IMAP and has 1100 messages on the server. When we set it up on a PC as POP3 it does not download any of the emails. When we attempt to check if we can see any emails in IMAP it just downloads
the folders and not the messages. We need to retrieve these emails desperately but I do not know how to.

Is there a means of exporting the mail box as a folder and importing it into Outlook Express or any other such means of extracting the messages?

We are running Exch Server 5.5 Service Pack 3 on an NT server.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

I think you should be able to use the EXMERGE tool from the Backoffice resource kit. It exports the mail from the server to a .pst file so it can be imported to your outlook or outlook express client as a personal folder.
