Exchange Restore with services stopped doesn't work

Dear all,

I'm trying to restore Exchange 5.5 DBs with Exchange services stopped from the Legato Business suite module 2.0 for Exchange.(In fact I try to simulate a crash of my Db disk when It's impossible to restart Directory and Information Store).
I just want to know if It's possible with Legato 'cause I always receive the message "...the service you are trying to backup is not running".
Do you have any tips ?

I suggest you check the admingudie and release notes for NetWorker-Exchange 2.0. Remember that the way to restore an Exchange database is to restore it onto a running exchange server with the database set to allow restore. Then make sure that the initial empty database you have, has the same name as the one you're going to restore. If a DR, reinstall the Exchange software and have it running before you initiate the restore.
