Exchange restore: item not found

Ok, my head is about to explode...I lost an Exchange server over the weekend...Created a new Windows 2000 Server, installed Exchange and service packs...Created Storage groups with same name...

And now...The restore fails and claims it cannot find \\servername\Information Store\storename

The server name has not changed...Same name as before...

Any ideas?...Really need some help... AJ

Have you done a catalogue and an inventory of the tape?

I seem to have gotten beyond that issue now...And moved onto a new one

Now the restore starts up, and in the log it says "access denied to database Email"...

But the restore doesnt fail out...It just keeps running...Not certain if its doing anything or not...But it seems to be able to find it at least...

Any ideas? AJ

Could the issue be accessing the email database on the tape itself? Is there security associated with that? AJ
