Exchange restore hangs at "ACTIVE"

Any time i try to restore any exchange mailboxes the job starts, locates the session then disconnects from the media and hangs with the job being active. I cant stop or delete the job so i have to stop all the services and delete the job from the arcserve folder and re-start the engines.

I don't know if this is relevant but when i am choosing what to restore it wont allow me to expand the mailboxes into individual e-mails only to the mailbox level.

There is no problem restoring files i back up.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can't restore by individual e-mails you restore the whole inbox
,deleted etc.

put the agent exchange agent brick level in Debug mode from registry
check exchange agent documenation on the CD doc folder on how to put it in debug mode.

From Server Admin put the tape Engine in Debug mode

do restore again
check in Exchange server where you installed exchange agent in LOG
folder for dbaexch2.* and see if there is any error while restore

check tape.log if there any error while restoring

Is there any errors appears in arcserve.log?
