Exchange reporting

I am evaluating the benefits of keeping Exchange in-house or moving to a hosted solution. I would like to get an idea just how much data I'm sending/recieving from internal and external users on a monthly basis.

Does Microsoft have a utility to gather this info or is there something built into Exchange 2003 server?
