Here's the short version of all that's been done. Server
crashed with a S.M.A.R.T. drive status of bad. Drive was
sent to a recovery company. Recovery company provided the
.edb and .stm files for both the private and public
stores, but was unable to recover the log files. The
recovered data was provided on DVD. The stores are in an
inconsistent state due to an earlier Exchange failure. There's a workstation which I have been using as the recovery server. Installed a brand new drive with Windows 2000 Server and Exchange Enterprise Edition 2000. That machine failed to bring the stores to a consistent state 3 times using the eseutil. We then moved the eseutil files and the stores to a brand new server (without Exchange). This server was able to bring the stores to a consistent state. But now the stores are listed as inconsistent when I attempt to mount them.

What are my options after this? Also, I was wondering if anyone know of any Exchange Recovery specialist shops that work with damaged(?) .edb and .stm files to recover exchange data.

Thanks for your help

Depending on state, Exchange 2003 recovery storage group can be good.

Or Aelita Recovery Manager has got me out of a hole before.
