Hi all,

i get following error messages, when i start a saveset recovery from a exchange information store (msexch: - saveset). the commando is started from the backupserver:

/usr/opt/networker/bin/recover -s atudbck -q -f -S 3183025409
recover: RPC error: Unable to receive
recover: falling back to old retrieve method...
recover: RPC error: Unable to receive
Recover completion time: Thu Apr 18 16:01:28 2002

any ideas ? Server is 6.1.1.

nsrck -L6 is passed without error, nsrck -m also.
another exchangeserver working fine.

Hi!

A few thing to check.

Do you have exchange installed on the backupserver?
Do you have the Legato exchange module installed
Also you should use the exchange module recover program.

hi ulsj!
to recover a exchange saveset to the backupserver i need no exchangemodule. its a normal saveset for the backupserver !
on the backupserver the exchange license is enabled. this is only a test, because i think our index from the exchange server or the media db have a problem.

i have a second exchange server, when i recover the saveset with SSID, a tape mount message on the server is pending. thats ok.

when is use the other exchange server NO tape mount is coming on the server. when i start recover with:
/usr/opt/networker/bin/recover -s atudbck -q -f -S 3183025409

i get following error messages:

recover: RPC error: Unable to receive
recover: falling back to old retrieve method...
recover: RPC error: Unable to receive
Recover completion time: Thu Apr 18 16:01:28 2002

i would know what this error messages mean.

greetings

guenther
