I had a user complaining of a slow pc so I did a full repair install of W2K. Now when the user tries to open Outlook 2003 it says that Exchange is offline or unavailable. Now this is not true as if I log in as the administrator, Outlook opens just fine. I tried giving the user full admin rights to the domain and to the pc and this has made no difference at all. Before I just wipe the pc and rebuild it from scratch, can anyone think of something obvious that I should have tried.

Have you tried creating a new profile? Make sure that Exchange "cached mode" is not enabled as well.

Playing with profiles is not something I want to try as it applies to anybody with a roaming profile that logs in to that machine. I did wonder if I should be asking this question in the W2K Pro forum as it looks like it is something to do with the way W2K deals with profiles. Local profiles are ok.

Will try the cached thing tho' and get back to you.
