Hi Guys,
I wonder if you could help me out??
I am running a windows 2000 network and exchange 5.5 with sp3. I have recently purchased a domain with a pop3 account and now wish to collect my mail from it using exchange and then distribute the mail round the net work.
The domain name and network domain name are the same so there is no problem there, internal e-mail is working fine. I really need a step by step 'for dummies' guide as to how to set up a dial up conection and all the setting that I need to configure within exchange, to allow me to collect my mail.
I am virtually a complete novice when it comes to exchange and therefore any help or pointing in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx in advance

I am not sure if this will help you or not, but I am running the same situation as you. Windows NT 4.0, Exchange 5.5 w/SP3 and a seperate POP3 system (Unix). This is all within our network is the only difference.

What we did here was setup a forwarding address (xxx.yyyyyy.zzz: xxx - exchange server, yyyyyy.zzz - domain name) on the POP3 accounts to send mail to the exchange server. While on the exchange administrator you will need to got to Connections, then Internet Mail Services. Then goto the Router tab and setup a routing scheme that will receive the POP3 mail. Click Add and in the Sent to: xxx.yyyyyy.zzz - Route to: yyyyyy.zzz.

I hope this helps you out. Good luck.
