I have an exchange server set to check an external pop server. On the pop server there is the main email address with 2 alias' attached to it. The exchange server pulls the mail from the pop server and puts it into the users mailbox.

The user is using outlook 2003 and wants to be able to send mail from any of the 3 email addresses. Can this be done with the setup previously described?

Thank You.

If you search here, you'll see this issue discussed many times.

Since there is only one account, no. You'd have to create different accounts so that the user could send out as.

Plan for performance, and capacity takes care of itself. Plan for capacity, and suffer poor performance.

Why not just get Outlook to check the POP and bypass Exchange? Then you can do it in Outlook.
