(Exchange 2000 SP3 with Post Patch):
For some reason, the alerts (when someone signs in/out) for Exchange Messaging no longer work. It did work fine at one point. In addition, when a user has been signed into the Exchange IM server for an extended period of time, other users do not appear "online" to them until that user exits and restarts Messenger. I thought the problem might be related to DNS, but the host record for "IM" is still valid (pointing directly to the server). I am using the Exchange version of Messenger, 4.6, and NOT the MSN messenger that so many get confused with. Any help would be appreciated.
