Hi, I'm attempting to create new users in Active Directory. When I attempt to do so, it gives me the option to create an Exchange mailbox for the user. It says the mailbox is successfully created, but when I look for it in the Exchange System Manager it is not there.

I have also tried creating an Exchange Mailbox using "Exchange Tasks..." by right-clicking on the Active Directory user. This also says that the creation process is successful, but again: the mailbox does not show up in Exchange System Manager.

I have ample harddisk space, the users do have ample security priveliges, and I have gotten other users successfully added to Exchange before.

Any Ideas for Troubleshooting?
Thanks,
rs

I have had this problem before. It was suggested that you open Exchange System Manger, Recipients, Recipients Update Services, and Right Click on each of your services and rebuild. It worked for me last week.

Thanks
Doug

The mailbox won't show up until either it's received mail or the user has accessed it.

Thanks for the help everyone :)

In this case the solution was simple: I didn't know pre-set users like "Administrator" wrked against your number of licenses. Since they do, I was trying to add one too many users.
