Exchange Mailbox Backup

Hello List!
I've upgraded our Server (solaris8) from 7.0.0 to 7.1.2.

After the upgrade Mailboxbackups where the Mailboxname
contains umlauts or other special chars doesn't work
anymore.
We are saving every mailbox with one separate saveset
(example: "MSEXCH:MB/Müller Gernot" - it's UTF encoded
and worked before upgrade)


I get following error:

exchcl MSEXCH:MB/ failed:full:save
* exchcl: MSEXCH:MB/Furtm|ller Bernhard (returned from savefs) skipped.
The saveset returned from savefs probe does not match the one specified for the client.


Has anyone experienced similar errors?
Or has someone suggestions on resolving this?

Try running in debug to see what was returned from the savefs probe, then copy this exactly into the saveset field for the client.

I've got an update from our support channel now ...

Solution Title: Savegrp fails with non-English saveset names using English NetWorker on English system

Here is the solution:
Known issue: LGTpa25688 Request for Enhancement (RFE) Contact LEGATO Software (EMC Software Group) for further details.

This request addresses the need to support non-English saveset names when running a English NetWorker on a English system (with foreign language support installed).

Here is the problem or goal:
Savegrp fails with non-English saveset names using English NetWorker on English system
Backing up saveset with German Umlauts fails
Saveset is directory, with the name of the directory containing German Umlaut characters
Client is administered by running nwadmin.exe from Windows Client
Error: 'savegrp: saveset C:\temp\Ordner_mit_| returned from savefs probe does not match the one specified for client (clientname)'

Problem Environment:
Solaris 9
NetWorker for UNIX 7.1.2
Windows 2000
NetWorker Client for Windows/NT 7.1.2

I hope they will have a patch soon ...
