exchange error 80040e19

I am running exchange 2000 and keep recieving the 80040e19 error everytime I try to access the public folder.
The error reads:

The Object is no longer available. Press F5 to refresh the display and then try again. ID no: 80040e19 Exchange System Manager

I tried what the microsoft page says to do and that didnt fix my problem.
I even tried a repair install but still have the same problems.
Any ideas would be very helpful
