I have a problem with Exchange resolving secondary email addresses to an accounts primary address. If I have an account with multiple email addresses, whenever anyone from outside the same storage group sends an email to one of the secondary addresses, the email comes to the client resolved to it's primary address.
For example:
ClientA sends an email from ClientA@hotmail.com to ClientB at aliasforb@domain.com. An application is configured to pull emails coming into ClientB's account as aliasforb@domain.com. When the email comes into ClientB's mail client inbox, it has been resolved from aliasforb@domain.com to clientbprimary@domain.com. The application needs to receive the email as it's secondary smtp address otherwise it does not work.
Is there anyway to get Exchange to NOT resolve the email address?
