Hi guys,

I could be being really stupid here but is it possible for an Outlook client to receive mail on a PC that is not a member for the domain and logon is different?

I have connected the PC to the network and logged on locally to a different domain account, it has resolved the username and server in Outlook but when in the program the user receives the message "The operation failed: an object cannot be found". If the fact the PC is not part of the domain means it cannot receive email it would explain an awful lot.

Thanks in advance for any help, would really sort things out.

Thanks

George

In the security tab of your email account configuration, you can check the box to always prompt for username and password. Otherwise, see if they mind using OWA/Webmail.
